About the role
Every lead that reaches Homewise gets called fast. The Appointment Setter is the person making that call, usually within minutes of a homeowner filling in our site.
Your job is not to sell the house purchase. It is to build enough trust in a few minutes that the homeowner tells you the truth about their situation, and then to book the ones who are a genuine fit onto an acquisition representative's calendar.
What you will do
- Call new leads quickly and consistently, and keep calling the ones who do not pick up first time
- Ask the qualifying questions in the order they are meant to be asked, and record what you hear
- Book qualified homeowners directly onto the acquisitions calendar
- Log every attempt and every outcome in the CRM before you move to the next lead
- Reschedule and chase no-shows rather than letting them fall out of the pipeline
What we need from you
- You are comfortable on the phone all day and it does not drain you by lunch
- You keep your commitments without being chased
- Clear spoken English and a quiet place to work with reliable internet
- You can follow a call flow accurately under time pressure
Helpful, not required
- Previous appointment setting, inside sales, or high volume customer service
- Real estate exposure of any kind
The honest version
Reading this and deciding it is not for you costs you nothing and we will not hold it against you. It is the cheapest possible outcome for both of us.
- This is high volume calling. The day is measured in dials and connects.
- Most calls end quickly and most people are not interested. Volume is the point.
- You are measured on qualified appointments that show up, not on appointments booked.
- You will follow a call flow. Improvising your own is how leads get lost.
How hiring works here
- 1 Apply with your name and email. That creates your account, nothing else is needed yet.
- 2 Stage one: a short timed assessment plus a 60 second video answer. About 11 minutes.
- 3 We review within two business days and tell you either way.
- 4 Stage two if you move forward: judgment, a short coaching exercise, and a work style profile. About 16 minutes.
- 5 A conversation with the acquisitions lead, then a decision.
